Did you participate in DECA in high school?

Gabby Goodwin and others from her high school who qualified for DECA Internationals

Hi Everybody! Hi!!!

Last weekend, I participated in the DECA (Distributive Education Clubs of America) competition at my state level and placed second in the business service marketing category, qualifying me to compete at the international level!

It was so much FUN and I am so excited about DECA Internationals!

DECA stands for Distributive Education Clubs of America and is an organization that focuses on preparing emerging high school leaders and entrepreneurs in marketing, finance, hospitality, and management. The organization offers students the opportunity to participate in competitive events such as role-plays and case studies where they can demonstrate their skills. It also provides students with access to scholarships, internships, leadership opportunities, and professional development.

I have been involved with DECA since my freshman year, and this is the first time I placed in the top three. I always share in my keynotes to never stop working hard. It really does pay off!

Did you participate in DECA at your high school? Reply and let me know about your experiences!

I did participate. We were only able to participate as juniors and seniors. I never got very far but it was a lot of fun hanging out with people from school in my case going to the bigger city. Meeting new people. As an adult i was a juge for state Deca when they needed judges at least 3 years. Congratulations on your sucess. Hope you do amazing at internationals. Nikki
